Heads Up! The QUEENS WORLD FILM FESTIVAL comes to town, March 1-4
Seems like only a couple of years ago that our own little Jackson Heights Food & Film Festival crashed and burned, so it's good to know that another, much larger (and from the looks of things much more professional) film festival is coming to Queens. It's the Queens World Film Festival, and you can access it and learn all about it here.
With an opening night at the Museum of the Moving Image, a wealth of sponsors, an accent on youth and a bevy of short films, plus the New York premiere of Mr. Bricks, the new "heavy-metal murder musical" from the ever-tasteful Troma Releasing -- this fest has a lot to offer. Take a few minutes now to peruse the site, check the schedule, find out about the films -- and order your tickets.
